Why USDC instead of Bitcoin?
For a $19 order, Bitcoin is the wrong tool. Its price moves while the payment confirms, network fees can be a meaningful share of a small purchase, and refunds are awkward because the sending address can't be verified. USDC is pegged to the dollar, so a $19 order costs exactly $19 at the moment you pay and at the moment it settles.

Which coins can I pay with?
USDC only. We deliberately support one stablecoin rather than a long list of volatile coins — it keeps pricing exact and refunds clean.
Do I need an account to pay with crypto?
You need a pufferboost account to place an order, but no crypto account with us. Stripe's checkout handles the payment.
How are crypto payments refunded?
To your pufferboost account credit, not back on chain — the return address of a stablecoin payment cannot be verified reliably. Credit never expires and can be spent on any future order.
Is paying with crypto anonymous?
No, and we would rather say so. Stripe applies its normal checks to stablecoin payments. What crypto gets you here is a card-free payment path, not anonymity.
Is crypto more expensive than paying by card?
No. The order price is identical either way; we do not add a crypto surcharge or a card discount.
